AIRAID Cold Air Dam (CAD) Intake Systems are built upon the principle of cooler air being denser and offering more efficient combustion. AIRAID CAD intake systems utilize Cold Air Dam panels mounted where the factory air box was situated. These panels help keep the air filter isolated from hot engine compartment air by sealing against the underside of the hood with blade-style weather stripping. Some AIRAID Ford F150 CAD intake systems included a new molded HDPE intake tube while others retain the factory air intake ducting.

AIRAID applied its cutting edge MXP intake technology to Ford F150s starting in 2015. AIRAID MXP systems are top-of-the-line premium systems that are packed with features and performance potential. MXP intakes include a one-piece roto-molded intake box that is designed to promote air flow all the way around the air filter inside while optimizing the amount of cool outside air that can be drawn into the engine. A new intake tube connects the air box to the throttle body and further optimizes airflow to the engine. Servicing your AIRAID SynthaMax Dry Air Filter just got easier with AIRAID’s Premium Dry Filter Cleaning Solution. Specially formulated to clean without breaking down the synthetic filter media in all AIRAID Dry air filters, the new cleaning solution breaks up dirt and other contaminants to restore airflow and performance. AIRAID recommends cleaning an dry air filter every 15,000-25,000 miles for normal conditions, and more often for dusty off-road conditions. To service a filter, simply remove it from the vehicle and spray a generous amount of AIRAID Cleaning Solution to the outside. Let the solution soak in for a few minutes then rinse the filter from the inside out with clean tap water from a sink or garden hose.

2014 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra 5.3L Intake System

The 200-285 AIRAID MXP Cold Air Intake System for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 delivers additional power with a simple bolt-on installation.

Like previous models, the latest AIRAID Cold Air Intake for the Silverado utilizes a new intake tube that optimizes MAF sensor location while improving airflow to the engine. The intake tube is attached to a new one-piece roto-molded intake box that utilizes the factory cold air scoop, plus adds an additional large cold air scoop beneath the intake box. The top of the airbox features blade-style weatherstripping, which seals against the hood to keep hot engine compartment air away from the filter. The cold air is fed to a massive 1300 cfm air filter that is available with either oiled composite filter media or dry SynthaMax non-oiled filtration technology. The SynthaMax dry filter is available in traditional red or new color-fast dyed blue filter media.

AIRAID Specialty Air Filters for LS Engines

Whether it’s an LS1 going in a street rod or an LS7 going in a sand buggy, the GM LS engine family is the powerplant swap of choice among automotive enthusiasts. AIRAID has released a complete line of specialty filters that address many of the unique induction needs of an LS swap, making it easier than ever before to make LS engines work in custom applications.

AIRAID 700-580 new line of specialty LS filters are designed to clamp right on to the throttle body of the LS engine, which simplifies the induction system and makes for a compact, easy-to-use package. Filters are available with a standard 3.875” flange to match a factory throttle body, or with a 4.25” flange that is compatible with most aftermarket throttle bodies. The filters feature an extra-thick flange to better withstand heavy vibrations and a built-in velocity stack to optimize airflow. There are even built-in provisions to mount an IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor on the filter assembly, which is commonly needed on LS applications.

The filters are sized to maximize the amount of air flowing to the engine while maintaining a compact footprint to work with tight engine compartment applications where space is at a premium. Due to the location of the filter on the front of the engine, AIRAID also offers an optional shield to help protect the filter from dirt and debris while further reinforcing the filter mount.

50-State Legal Performance for Camaro

Late-model Camaro owners looking for 50-state legal performance modifications need to look no further than AIRAID for additional horsepower and torque. AIRAID has released new Modular Intake Tubes for 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaros with 3.6L and 6.2L engines. These new systems have obtained CARB certification and are legal for use and sale in all 50 states.

AIRAID 250-914 Modular Intake Tubes (MIT) optimize airflow to the engine by replacing the factory intake tube. Factory tubes often have accordion-shaped walls, sound-canceling baffles, and undersized tube diameters, all of which hurt airflow. AIRAID MIT kits help straighten and improve airflow to the engine while optimizing the location of the mass air sensor. The design provides better throttle response and additional horsepower along with better fuel economy.

Modular Intake Tubes are constructed of cross-linked high-density polyethylene for strength and resistance to heat transfer. MIT tubes are direct replacements for factory intake tubes and accommodate all of the factory sensors and fittings that attach to the factory tube. MIT tubes work with the factory throttle body and intake box. All necessary couplers and clamps are included, and installation takes only a few minutes. The new Camaro MIT kits have obtained CARB certification and are legal for sale and use in California as well as all other states.
