Information

The AIRAID 450-945 fits some Ford Mustang models. See vehicle applications for details.
AIRAID Modular Intake Tubes (MIT) provide a smooth air way to the throttle body that improves air flow up to an additional 400 CFM over restrictive stock intake tubes in order to give your engine more horsepower and torque. MITs are constructed from cross-linked, high-density polyethylene, built each for a specific vehicle make and model, and can be used to simply replace your stock air intake tube or can be added to an AIRAID Cold Air Dam QuickFit series system. Installation is easy and can be done in only a few minutes with a few simple tools. Mounting hardware is included along with easy-to-follow instructions. Some AIRAID air intake components are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. View the product's vehicle applications to determine the legal status for each vehicle.

Easy install. 20 minutes, be sure to loosen the clamps and check to be sure all is tight when done. Sound is deeper, higher quality than before. Using an oiled filter. If I were buying again, would get a dry filter. Seat of pants feel is slightly more powerful, with improved throttle response. Comes in handy with expressway merge.

This is my first experience with an Airaid product. Installation took me only 20 minutes or so. Make sure that the clamps are backed out and have maximum diameter to allow you to fit the tube on the throttle body. Also, when you have the tube installed make sure and rotate the tube to ensure proper alignment with the tube that enters on the side of the intake tube ... you don't want any leakage there. I am using a 93 octane tune and a K&N filter with this setup and I am very happy with the results. Not sure if there is a significant difference in full throttle noise, but I definitely notice a lower overall exhaust note at idle, which sounds like a V8, not a V6. Lower frequency. Think this solution is a better overall value than a full CAI.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I am not a fan of CAIs as I have no interest in putting hotter air into the intake manifold. Being able to use the stock air box was what I was looking for. This MIT with a (Brand Name) filter in the air box fit the bill. Took about 30 mins. to install on a 2011 3.7 mustang. Can feel a slight improvement on throttle response and seems a bit more responsive. But the sound through the stock exhaust is awesome. Deeper and just a little louder. Evidence that in fact more air is pushing through the engine. Did create a tad bit of drone that sounds sweet inside and its easily covered up with the stereo, unless you want to listen to it..... Now it sounds like a 300+ HP street car should sound without getting too much of the wrong kind of attention. BTW I do recommend relearning the idle settings.
